Benefits of eating Pineapples

Pineapple is a delicious tropical fruit full of antioxidants which prevents cell damage. It is healthy and nutritious and provide a wide range of health benefits.

Pineapples is low in cholesterol, sodium and saturated fat. It is profuse amount of vitamins (Folates, Niacin, Pyridoxine, Riboflavin, Thiamin, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Vitamin K) and minerals (Calcium, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Phosphorus, Selenium and Zinc).

  • Pineapples due to presence of Vitamin C reduce the risk for heart disease, gout, cancer, lead toxicity, cataracts and stroke. It boosts our immune system, and may also prevent high blood pressure and diabetes.
  • Pineapples are rich source of manganese which is required by our body to build bones and connective tissues. Pineapples are known for their ability to make the bone stronger.
  • Pineapples make our gums healthy and stronger which in turn makes our teeth healthier and strong.
  • Pineapples has beta carotene which is good for our eyesight. Pineapples can reduce damage to the retina, and lower the risk of loss of vision in adults by 36% (macular degeneration).
  • Pineapple is a nutrient rich fruit, which assists in weight loss. It provides lots of nutritional benefits for a very small amount of calories.
  • Pineapples boosts metabolism, improves digestion, nourishes hair, skin and nails.
  • Pineapples contain an enzyme named Bromelain (in low amounts), which is known for its benefits in indigestion, wounds, infected sinuses and arthritis. However, the scarce amount of the enzyme in pineapple is insufficient to provide any visible medicinal effects.
